Faynx ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit faynx.tech, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data to provide and improve our service:

• Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, browser type, device type, and referring URL — via anonymised analytics.
• Download events: We record wallpaper download counts (without linking to individual users).
• Account data (optional): If you create an account via Firebase Authentication, we store your email and display name. Google Sign-In is processed by Google.
• Contact form submissions: Name and email when you voluntarily contact us.

We do not collect payment information, sell advertising, or track you across other websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the wallpaper browsing and download service
• To save your preferences (theme, layout, saved wallpapers)
• To understand which content is most popular via aggregated analytics
• To respond to contact form submissions
• To maintain and improve the website

3. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage for:

• Analytics (Google Analytics in anonymised / IP-anonymised mode)
• Remembering your theme and layout preferences
• PWA service worker caching for offline support
• Firebase Authentication session tokens (if you create an account)

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or third-party tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

Unsplash: Images are served from Unsplash's CDN. Your browser connects to Unsplash when images load. See Unsplash's privacy policy.

Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore for optional account features. See Firebase's privacy policy.

Google Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. See Google's privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

Anonymised analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months. Account data is retained until you delete your account. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & Privacy Laws)

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

7. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect data. Account authentication is handled by Firebase using industry-standard security practices. No system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top. Continued use of Faynx after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
